Most people who call us about self drive car rental in Lahore ask two things first: "What documents do you need?" and "When do I get my security back?" Fair questions. Handing someone the keys to a car for a week is a matter of trust on both sides, and the rules exist so that the car comes back in one piece and your cheque or passport comes back to you without any argument.

Self drive is offered to clients we can verify. That is not about doubting anyone. A self drive car leaves with you for days at a time, and we need to know where to find the person responsible for it.
The first thing we check is your CNIC. It must show a Lahore address, or you must have a local Lahore mobile number registered in your name. If your CNIC is from another city, tell us when you call so we can see what else can be arranged.
You should also own the house you live in. If you live in a rented property, our terms and conditions ask for a valid rental agreement and a guarantor who owns a permanent residence. In some bookings a guarantor may be asked for anyway, and that person takes responsibility for any unpaid liability under the agreement.
If you have flown in from Dubai, the UK, Canada or anywhere else, your original passport is the security document. It stays with us for the rental period and is handed back when the car returns safely. We may also ask to see a valid visa and return ticket, or a PR card. Many overseas families rent self drive for the length of their stay. Valid driving licence.
Proof of residence: ownership of your house, or a rental agreement plus a guarantor who owns a home.
Security cheque from your own bank account.
For overseas clients and foreigners: original passport, plus visa and return ticket or PR card if asked.
Once documents are checked, the booking is confirmed with a 20% advance, and the full payment is cleared before the car is handed over.
For most self drive bookings the security is a cheque from your bank account. We do not cash it. It simply sits with us while the car is with you. In some cases we take a cash deposit instead or as well, depending on the type of booking, how long it is and which car you are taking. There is no fixed cash amount; we tell you the figure at the time of booking so there are no surprises.
Your cheque, cash or passport is returned as soon as the car comes back and we have checked it for damage. For a clean return that check takes a few minutes, done together with you.
We deduct from the security in one situation only: the car has been damaged and the client does not pay for the repair. There is no hidden cleaning fee, no "late inspection" charge and no other reason. If there is damage, repair costs are worked out from the official company workshop, not a local one, as written in our terms. Settle that and your security comes back in full.
Self drive cars are given for a minimum of 5 days. If you only need a car for a day or two, a rent a car with driver booking is usually the better fit. Driver food and residence is PKR 2,000 per day if you do not provide it yourself.
Within Lahore you get 150 km per day. That is plenty for office runs, school drops and family visits across DHA, Johar Town and Gulberg. For trips outside Lahore, the allowance and charge depend on where the car is going, so tell us your route at booking. Monthly contracts allow up to 4,500 km a month and one or two outstation visits.
Fuel, motorway tolls, parking and any traffic challans during the rental are not included in the rent. These are paid by you as you go.
Self drive cars are not insured by default. If you want insurance you can take it at an extra charge, but it is only available on rentals longer than 15 days. Where insurance is taken, it covers parts and labour but not depreciation. For a short booking, drive carefully and check the car properly at handover.
Want to keep the car longer? Ask at least 24 hours before your return time. The car cannot be used for racing, off-road misuse, political activity or subletting to someone else.
This is the question we hear most, and it is a fair one. Every self drive car is washed, cleaned inside and checked before it leaves: tyres, brakes, oil, AC and lights. If something does not feel right when you collect it, tell us on the spot and we will sort it or swap the car. You can browse the cars on our fleet page and ask for the exact model you want.
Walk around the car with our staff and note every scratch or dent.
Take photos and a short video, including the fuel gauge and odometer.
Check the spare tyre, jack and car documents.
Test the AC, lights and wipers before you leave.
Return the car at the agreed time, or call ahead if you are running late.
Do a joint inspection and compare against your pickup photos.
Collect your cheque, cash or passport once the check is done.
